Delivery Information

At Lytton & Lily we make every effort to ensure your order arrives with you quickly, safely and in the most cost effective way possible. To achieve this we have several delivery options available and, where possible, you can choose how you would like your order to be delivered. Please note, however, that the delivery of your order may be restricted to a particular service depending on the size, weight and destination of your order. We aim to dispatch all orders within 48 hours however we do ask for your patience during busy periods.

Your order will be packed and dispatched, provided:

  • - The item you have chosen is in stock
  • - The delivery address has been verified
  • - Payment has been approved

Orders can be delivered to either business or residential addresses but not a P.O. Box or hotel accommodation.  Please ensure that you provide a delivery address at which your parcel can be signed for.

We use reputable carriers such as Royal Mail and Interlink Express. However, if you experience any aspect of the delivery service that you have not been happy with then we would like to hear from you.

Most deliveries will require a signature on receipt. It is usual practice for our couriers to leave a calling card with their contact information if the delivery address is unattended at the time of delivery, although this is not always the case. Lytton & Lily cannot take responsibility if a notification card is not left in any instance. You will be responsible for retrieving undelivered parcels so please use an alternative delivery address if you are going to be out during the day.

Deliveries will usually be made Monday to Friday (also Saturday in the case of goods being delivered within 5-7 days under Standard delivery terms by Royal Mail), between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm. Times can not be booked or pre-arranged.  If neither you nor the intended recipient is unavailable, each time a delivery is attempted, our courier will leave a card at the delivery address confirming that they have tried to deliver. Follow the instructions on the calling card to rearrange delivery or to collect your products.

Our couriers will attempt to deliver upto three times, after this your order will be returned to us.  Resending or redirecting to an alternative delivery address will incur additional costs to you.  

You will not be charged until the goods are ready to dispatch and we will only charge you postage once per order, even if we send you more than one parcel. We will try to meet any date stated for delivery, but the dates are not guaranteed. Occasionally it may become necessary for us to cancel your order before delivery. We will let you know as soon as we can that this has happened and you will not be charged, or if you have been charged, we will refund the full amount to you.

Standard UK Delivery (5.05)

Available UK and Northern Ireland Only.

Non-Mainland UK Delivery (7.09)

Despatch within 3 working days.
Monday Saturday 8.00 am 6.00 pm, excluding Public and Bank Holidays.
Unless an expedited service is requested your order will be sent using Royal Mail or Interlink Express. Please allow 5-7 working days for delivery.

Next Day Delivery (8.95) - New Service

Available UK and Northern Ireland Only.

Monday to Friday 8.00 am - 6.00 pm, excluding Public and Bank Holidays.
Order by 11.00 am previous working day (Monday to Friday).

All orders are processed during normal working hours Monday to Friday so please allow the specified number of working days from placing your order to receipt of delivery. For example, orders placed after 11.00 am on a Friday will be processed on the following Monday for delivery on Tuesday.

Please Note: Next day delivery can not be guaranteed in all circumstances. Next Day Delivery is not available for furniture and heavy deliveries, out of stock items or items shipped outside of Mainland UK. A signature will be required on delivery.

Buy Online Collect In Store (Free) - New Service

Monday to Saturday 10.00 am - 5.00 pm, excluding Public and Bank Holidays.
Please allow 2 working days for your order to be processed and ready for collection, we will contact you either by email or telephone to advise when your order is ready for collection.
This service only applies for items in stock.

Free Delivery - New Service

Available Mainland UK Only.

Some of our products feature free delivery (within Mainland UK only).  If you order an item that offers free delivery in addition to one or more regular items, you will be charged only for the delivery costs for the regular delivery item(s).

If for any reason you need to return an item that had free delivery, the refund you receive will be for the item price minus our standard delivery cost. Standard delivery costs are based on item prices as outlined above. The only exception to this policy is if an item received is defective, in which case it will be replaced with no additional delivery fees. If you would like to exchange your free delivery purchase for another item that also has free delivery, a standard delivery charge will be added to the item being returned and the new item will be delivered free.

PLEASE NOTE: Orders placed online that include items other than Free Delivery items our standard UK rate will apply.  The incorrect delivery service chosen will result in your order being cancelled or voided by our system.  Free delivery does not apply to furniture orders.

Furniture Delivery Per Item (61.27) Mainland UK Only

Available Mainland UK Only.

Furniture orders incur a standard delivery charge per item of 60.00 within Mainland UK only. 

Goods will be delivered to you within 1-3 weeks of receipt of your order unless you have ordered an awaiting stock item in which case the goods will be delivered to you within 1-3 weeks of us receiving the supplier delivery. We will contact you once your order is complete in order to arrange your delivery date. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a time estimate for delivery.

Deliveries are made by our couriers and take place Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 6.00 pm. The day(s) and times that we deliver to your area will be discussed with you when we call you. For further information regarding your delivery please contact our Customer Services Team on +44 (0) 1598 710488.

Lytton & Lily value your security. To safeguard this, a signature is required on delivery to acknowledge safe receipt of goods.

If the product is an awaiting stock item the lead-time quoted is given in good faith. The lead-time is the number of weeks we expect it will take to receive your furniture into our Goods In Department. Once the furniture has arrived with us we will contact you within 2-3 working days to arrange your delivery.  The delivery lead time quoted is based on the best available information from our suppliers at the time of purchase. Where any delay occurs we will notify you by post or email at the earliest opportunity.

We make every effort to carry out deliveries on the date quoted. The delivery date we give to you is an estimate given in good faith. If we subsequently learn that the estimate is inaccurate, we will endeavour to inform you using the contact numbers you have given us.

ACCESSIBILITY

Please consider the following factors that may prevent us from completing a standard delivery: red routes and parking restrictions; delivery vehicle size restrictions; restricted access into property due to the size of the ground floor entrance; restricted access within the property to the ground floor delivery location. Such factors may require alternative delivery methods for which, in most cases, there is an additional charge. We regret that we cannot deliver items past the ground floor. Please ensure you have checked that the access available is adequate. International Delivery

A base charge will be quoted at the time of order placement that could be amended at a later date for additional charges. Price varies depending on weight of parcel and destination country. Duties and taxes will be the responsibility of the recipient.

We regularly ship all over the world. Depending on your location, International delivery can take up to 28 days. A signature is usually required upon receipt.

IMPORTANT NOTE: For customers outside of the EU VAT is automatically deducted from your order. Non-EU customers are responsible for import duties and tax in their respective countries. Lytton & Lily.co.uk are unable to calculate local customs and sales tax but please contact your local Customs Office for further information. You will be notified by your local customs authority once your order has reached your country. They will accurately calculate the total amount of customs and sales tax which is to be paid before you may receive your goods. You shall not be entitled to cancel your order on the basis of unforeseen duties or levies.

Delivery Exceptions

Next Day Delivery Service - Weekend Ordering

For many areas the order cut-off time for a Monday "next day" delivery (excludes Public and Bank Holidays) will be 11.00 am on the previous Friday, but for the following postcodes, you'll need to make sure you order by 11.00 am on the previous Thursday: AB; BT; DD8-11; GY; IV1-2; JE

Next Day Delivery services are not available for the following postcodes: HS; IM; IV3-11, 14-28, 40-49, 51-56, 63; KA27-28; KW; PA41-50, 60-78 or ZE.

Extended Delivery Time

There are a small number of postcodes, usually in remote rural areas, where we cannot guarantee delivery within our usual timescales. Click here for a full list of postcodes where this is the case.

Deliveries To Multiple Addresses

If you would like to have items sent to separate addresses, please complete a separate order for each address. A separate delivery charge will be made for each address.

Postage & Packing

Postage & Packing is the charge for mail order and website order processing, item selection, packaging, processing, transport and handling. Special delivery requests, including specification of carrier and/or future delivery dates, gift boxes or gift wrapping may incur additional charges. Delivery times are not guaranteed, notwithstanding additional charges, but our best approximation and will vary with specific requests, such as gift wrapping. Shipments and deliveries usually occur on weekdays.

Shipping Materials Our Green Policy

Please note that our company policy actively promotes environmentally friendly business methods. Wherever possible all our outgoing packages are packed using materials recycled in-house, including packing materials that we may receive from our suppliers, thereby reducing waste and acting in an environmentally responsible manner. You will receive new high quality goods but it may be packed using recycled materials. Hazardous Materials

Certain consumer commodities are considered hazardous materials, such as aerosols, nail polish, fragrances and other alcohol based products such as our room fragrances and aromatiques. Our policy is to ship these items only to UK addresses.

Gift Messages

You can create a personalised gift message during checkout. Your message will be delivered along with your parcel.

Back Orders

Occasionally, stock shortages may occur due to unexpected demand of a product. Back orders are usually filled within thirty days. On occasion, stock coming in from overseas may take from 60 to 90 days. If an item is out of stock or backordered on your order, we will send you an email with an estimated ship date or a suggested alternate item. You can cancel your order at any time prior to dispatch by email to lyttonandlily536@btinternet.com or by calling our Customer Services Team on +44 (0)1598 710488.

Undeliverable Packages

Lytton & Lily is not responsible for shipments when we are given an incorrect or incomplete address. If delivery of a shipment cannot be completed on the initial delivery attempt, our courier will either reattempt delivery and/or hold the shipment at their facility until positive contact can be made with the recipient to establish further delivery instructions. After three (3) attempts to deliver and/or three attempts to notify the recipient the shipment will be considered undeliverable. If a package needs to be redirected, a redirect fee may be charged.
