The unique feature of this clock is that the convex dial is made of genuine enamel.
Enamelling is an age old process that produces an especially smooth, hardwearing and light resistant surface. This is done in France by craftsman who encapsulate these wonderful designs by fusing powdered glass to the steel dial at around 800 centigrade.
